Descriptions
Long-wavelength pass filters of dielectric films are different from colored filter glasses in that the onset and cutoff wavelengths of these filters are shifted toward shorter wavelengths when the angle of incidence is increased.In general, as the angle of incidence changes from 0° to 45°, the center wavelength is shifted by about 10% to the short side. This characteristic can be applied to applications that require fine tuning of the start wavelength or cutoff wavelength.
